A lot of people are asking are the Foamnasium’s Mini Blocksy worth it?
My answer: It depends on the family, the age of the kids, the amount of space you have, and the price you want to spend. For my family, the Mini Blocksy is worth it!
As a family of 5 with 3 kids under the age of 4 we use the Mini Blocksy every day as an accessory to our larger foam toys, mini chair, or crash pad. It is an add on instead of the main play toy (Full Blocksy or Nugget). The Mini Blocksy could be a door to the fort or a roof to connect the larger two foam base.

Mini Blocksy wedges are on the back of the couch. Full Blocksy wedges are on the side.
What is the difference between a Full Blocksy and Mini Blocksy?
The Mini Blocksy is a smaller version of the Full Blocksy. The Full Blocksy comes with 4 separate pieces (2 bases and 2 wedges). This configuration couch is made of CertiPUR-US foam covered in medical grade vinyl.
The Mini Blocksy comes with one base and two wedges. The Mini Blocksy is also made with the same material, CertiPUR-US foam covered in medical grade vinyl.
The interesting thing about the Mini Blocksy is that the base is actually a SQUARE (dimensions 23″ x 23″) like the Nugget Comfort bases. A full blocksy base is a rectangle.
Babies and Young Toddlers
The mini is great for babies and younger toddlers to work on their gross motor skills. For example climbing or picking up different types of shapes and objects. My 20 month old (~20sh lbs) can play with the mini by itself for 20-30 minutes when I put the base wedge as a triangle. He loves to go under the “tunnel” and around.
Light weight and Easy to Carry
My 20 month old is constantly watching his older brother and copying his every move. The Mini Blocksy allows him to do just that. The base is light enough for my 20 month old to carry, drag, or throw copying my 4 year old carry, drag, or throw the full Blocksy base. Off subject- My 4 year old has a harder time carrying the Nugget base.

Tight Spaces
The mini is great for tight spaces. We created a reading nook in a small ( ~ 2’x 4′) corner of our house. It fits nicely caddy cornered with a book shelf close by.

Just because the Blocksy is mini doesn’t mean it is not mighty. The mini is sturdy enough to hold myself (130 lbs) or my husband (230 lbs). We have not seen any booty indents on the foam.
Crash Pad
When the Mini Blocksy is unfolded it is the perfect crash pad for any indoor playground. We received a homemade monkey bars and the Mini Blocksy base and wedges are perfect as a crash pad and protect our littles from the poles.

Final Thoughts
With 2 rambunctious boys, I am happy with my purchase of the Blocksy Mini. I bought my Blocksy Mini with the Full Blocksy. They arrived in 2 HUGE boxes and we started building right away!
The Mini Blocksy by itself is great for tiny spaces, on a budget or if you are like me and want to add another shape to your sea of foam toys.
If you were to choose between getting a Full Blocksy ($229) and a Mini Blocksy ($159), my recommendation is to splurge a little more and get the Full Blocksy. You will be able to build more because of that extra base.
If you are debating on getting an additional toy of Foamnasium Mega Wedges or Mini Blocksy, I recommend getting the Mega Wedges because of the stability of the wedge. The Mega Wedge will increase the creativity of the builds.
