A fellow Minikane/Miniland mom shared this on Facebook and I had to try. This is an affordable way to have cute Minikane and Miniland doll clothes at an affordable price of $1.

The Minikane/Miniland doll clothes AKA holiday socks from the Target dollar spot is a great no sew option to create cute clothes.

All you need is a pair of socks and fabric scissors. I bought the men and women size holiday tube socks at the Target dollar spot to try the sock hack out.

I recommend getting the men size socks because the elastic is easier to take on and off your doll. It’s more bang for your buck. The women socks are smaller and tighter so a toddler or young child may have trouble putting the outfit on and off of the doll.

The men size socks will have enough fabric to make a beanie, the women size socks can be used as a headband or a bando.

Tube Socks Tank and Underwear

Place the tube sock next to the doll and measure how much coverage you would like on the doll.

Once measured, make a cut above the heel. The elastic band can be used as a neck or waist hem.

Fold the sock in half and cut holes for the arm. If you have a pattern sock, adjust the sock to fit the pattern.

TIP: The smaller the hole the better. The material of the socks is stretchy so the arm will fit through a small hold.

Underwear

Place the tube sock next to the doll and measure how much coverage you would like on the doll.

Flatten the sock so the seam at the toe is facing up.

Fold the underwear vertically.

Cut 1 hole similar to where the holes in underwear will be.

TIP: Do not skip the step to have the seam facing up. If you have the seam on the side, the underwear will look funny.

Beanie

Stretch the heel -the longest part of the sock. The longer the fabric the better it will be.

Make an overhand loop knot to create a beanie.

Romper

A romper is made using the bottom of the sock. When making a romper you will cut below the heel and cut small holes where the arms and legs will be.

Cut below the heel line

Stretch the sock and flatten the sock with the seam at the toe facing up.

Fold in half vertically and cut two small holes for the arms and legs.

The top half of the sock can be used to make a beanie.

These doll clothes can be used on both Miniland and Minikane.
